This October 12th is considered National Pet Obesity Awareness Day. Did you know that obesity is the number one health problem in dogs today? An estimated 58% of cats and 54% of dogs in the United States are overweight, with a high percentage of those pets considered obese. Studies show that obesity can shorten a pet’s lifespan by two years.
