After more than 30 years as Annamaet Option, one of our longtime dog food formula favorites has a new name: Annamaet Medium & Large Breed Salmon!
The name may be changing, but the formula inside the bag is staying exactly the same.
Made in the USA, Medium & Large Breed Salmon is made with salmon and free-range, grass-fed lamb, wholesome grains and carefully selected ingredients. The formula meets the nutritional levels established by the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for all life stages, including the growth of large-size dogs weighing 70 pounds or more as adults.
The new name is designed to make it easier for pet parents and pet professionals to quickly understand what the formula offers. As the name suggests, it is formulated for medium and large breed dogs and provides an alternative to our chicken-based formulas. It is also corn, wheat and soy-free.

Most importantly, the food inside the bag remains the same.”
We originally formulated Option in 1995 as an alternative—or “option”—to our chicken-based formulas. Over the years, it has become one of our most popular diets, particularly among dogs with food sensitivities.
