Silver carp are natural “filter feeders” who feed on plankton and algea, making them very high in omega 3 fatty acids and very low in potential contaminants. Silver Carp are considered a delicacy overseas and are an important part in the human diet for parts of Europe and Asia. They are now an invasive species in the Great Lakes Region of the United States making the utilization of Silver Carp a great way to preserve our natural resources while providing a superior, high quality novel protein source for our pets.
